The Messaging Platform
can be deployed in a client's data centre or run remotely
as an application service. The choice depends on:
Installation resources. Space may be already
available in the client's data centre so an in-house installation
could save money and simplify integration.
Networking requirements. An IVR or web site may need
to be deployed in a particular geographic location for regulatory
reasons, or the Platform as a whole may need to be deployed in a data
centre with good connections to a public SMS centre.
Application availability. If the application requires
fast response and high availability (for example, if transaction speed
is critical), then redundant network connections, automatic emergency
power, etc., may be necessary. If the service only provides data, then
less expensive options may be available.
After analysing these requirements with the client, Cloudgate can
determine the most cost-effective options for system configuration,
deployment, and operations. We monitor our systems 24x7 regardless of
deployment option.
