The Messaging Platform
enables companies to develop and deploy applications with three goals:
- Cost savings. Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) often make up
a significant portion of a company's operational costs. The Cloudgate
Messaging Platform can move much of this interaction into interactive
audio. A customer can call our IVR to receive information or make
orders, or the IVR can place an outbound call to the customer to
inform him of some special alert. (The customer's profile determines
whether he gets such calls: the system is entirely permission-based.)
Monthly statements or bills can be delivered electronically, for
example, eliminating the cost of postage.

Enhanced services. The Cloudgate Messaging Platform can enable new
services, for example, the automatic delivery of customer-specified
alerts. When an event occurs, the Platform determines whether the
customer is online and, if so,send an Instant Message (which is
guaranteed to be timely), or if not, send an SMS (which may not be as
timely, depending on the customer's service). Such services can
enhance the customer experience or generate additional revenue.

Increased customer loyalty and more effective marketing. The
Messaging Platform allows the creation of loyalty-building offers and
promotions. Since a customer profile can indicate the value of a
customer, it can enable segmented marketing programs. Using the
results database,a marketing analyst can discover new segments, create
campaigns to reach those segments, and then extend offers through the
platform itself.
